TAIE International Christmas Party 2011

On December 15, 2011 TAIE International had one of the biggest parties of the year, which is the annual Christmas Party. We have been getting ready for this party since last month and it turned out really well.

Around eighty people attended the party which started about 5:30 p.m. The Party was hosted by TAIE’s Students’ Union members and began with the singing of the national anthem ‘Oh Canada,’ followed by a speech from Arthur Wang and the new Principal, Angela Phillips.

After the speeches the program got really underway with many performances from students, teachers, and classes. Entertainment included Group dances, Group singing, Jokes, Rap music, Drama, Christmas songs, a Fashion show and two of our students even played a Chinese traditional musical instrument, the ‘GuZhang’.

The event went very smoothly, and the hall was filled with laughter, clapping, and a lot of love and good cheer; for sure, every body felt the holiday spirit.

After we enjoyed all the performances, Santa Clause came out to surprise us. He danced the Bunny Hop with the students and gave everybody a present.

Finally we had a dinner buffet with different kinds of food – both eastern and western – to choose from; after dinner the performances continued and everybody danced. (It was necessary to dance after eating all that foodJ) This was one of our most memorable nights.
