Getting There!

Canada is home to a multiethnic and open society that welcomes migrants from all parts of the world. Our government has made it particularly easy for international students, who have either attained a high school diploma in Ontario or abroad, to study at a Canadian university. In order to apply for university in Canada students must possess a high school diploma from a recognized school in either Canada or their respective home country. International students will also be required to write an English profi ciency examination such as TOEFL, MELAB or IELTS. In addition, students may also be required to fi ll in a supplementary application. Admissions into Canadian universities are commonly based on each universities grade requirements; the students’ average grade during their last year of secondary school studies; and their scores on the English profi ciency tests.

At TAIE International Institute students may choose from one of the following four streams of study:
      Ontario Secondary School Diploma stream (OSSD/OSSDIC);
      University Preparation Course stream (UPC);
     English for Academic Purposes stream (EAP);
     University and College Preparation Course stream (UCCC);
