TAIE Counselling System

-         Interview and advise students on school rules, policies and regulations, provide orientation to new students

-         Assist students in establishing academic goals, develop study plans for the students based on their academic and career goals

-         Ensure students register for courses that meet specific university program requirements and or that will help them earn an Ontario Secondary School Diploma, provide academic guidance

-         Review students previous academic records, keep tracking on students’ attendance of all the courses, collect and update students’ final grades into the school database

-         issuing accurate transcripts upon request

-         Assist students with their university and colleges applications in terms of program information, requirements, application procedures, deadlines and guidelines by conducting presentations and one on one consultation

-         Assist students in Community Involvement, helping students engage in a variety of volunteering jobs 

-         Organize our students to attend university tours, presentations and school seminars

-         Work closely with the Subject, ESL and Post-Graduate teachers, Education Administrator, Admissions, University Recruitment Officers

-         Report final grades to the Ontario University Application Centre and Ontario Colleges. Report statistical information to the Ministry of Education, Ontario School Information System
