OSSD

Ontario Secondary School Courses (OSSD/OSSDIC)

This stream is designed for any international student desiring entrance into a Canadian university and who has not yet received their high school diploma in their home country. In order to attain an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD), students must pass the Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test; complete 10 hours of community volunteer service for each year they study in Canada; and they must attain at least 30 high school credits (18 compulsory and 12 elective). International students may use their courses taken back home towards their OSSD depending on the level the student has achieved.

At TAIE International Institute we offer courses in business studies, mathematics, computer science, general science, history, geography, music, arts and foreign languages (Please see the chart bellow to see the courses offered at TAIE). Students also have the choice to take courses “in-class” or through our independent study program (OSSDIC). Courses offered through the OSSDIC program are supervised by the Ontario government and are fully supervised by one of our qualified staff at TAIE.
