CAEL Test Center
Brief Description of the CAEL Test and TAIE’s CAEL Preparation Course
International students have a choice when writing a test to give proof of English Language Proficiency required by admissions offices at universities and colleges. There are several tests available, including the TOEFL and the IELTS, and Canada has also produced a Test of English Language Proficiency – the CAEL Test (Canadian Academic English Language Assessment). The test includes a 2-hour Written Part and an Oral Part that takes @20 minutes. The CAEL Test Score is acceptable for up to two years.
Different universities and colleges require international students to take different tests, and also different scores are required for different programs and institutions. However, the CAEL test is accepted at most major Canadian universities and colleges. For more information, please go to www.cael.ca .
